In the final weeks of December, the Cherkizovo Charitable Foundation sent over 4,500 New Year gifts to 18 Russian regions where the company is active. Children living in the Altai Territory, Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Kaliningrad, Kursk, Lipetsk, Orenburg, Oryol, Penza, Tambov, Tula, Tyumen, Ulyanovsk, and Chelyabinsk Regions, as well as in Moscow, the Moscow Region, and Bashkortostan, got their presents. The gift sets included an electronic color drawing tablet, a shoe bag with the symbol of the upcoming year, sweets, as well as a book about New Year traditions, crafts, and recipes.
Several non-profit organizations joined the Foundation in an initiative to donate gifts to orphanages and shelters, social service centers, schools, kindergartens, and other institutions working with children in need of support.
An important part of Cherkizovo Group's New Year charitable program was also the annual Yolka Dobra volunteer campaign, held jointly with the Podari Zhizn Foundation. As part of this campaign, company employees gather gifts for children undergoing treatment in hospitals unable to celebrate the New Year at home. This year marked the first time the campaign reached all regions where Cherkizovo is active, expanding well beyond the central office in Moscow. In total, over 100 gifts were donated.
Cherkizovo Group also participated in the annual Snegoviki-Dobryaki campaign, held in Chelyabinsk for children with rare and serious illnesses. The company joined the campaign as its partner along with other representatives of socially responsible businesses in the Chelyabinsk Region. On New Year's Eve, they fulfilled wishes of children from the Kunashaksky and Argayashsky Districts, home of Cherkizovo's production facilities.
“The New Year is a time when we especially want to share warmth and care. It is crucial for us that children in the regions where we work feel attention and support, believe in miracles, and celebrate the holidays with a smile. Participating in these campaigns unites our team and gives us another opportunity to see that even a small good deed can bring great joy. We and our Foundation plan to further expand the number and scope of our charitable projects next year, helping where it is truly needed,” says Vsevolod Gribchenkov, Director, Cherkizovo Charitable Foundation.
